Wolgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had an older sister, Anna Maria  and together with her and their father, both children gave many concerts  in Europe as ‘child stars’.

Mozart’s music sounds clear and balanced.  He composed so that musical phrases were easy to hear, but that doesn’t mean that his music was simple.  It was clear and also complex with a broad range of emotions.

Questions:

What can you hear playing at the same time?

Do different instruments play different sorts of music?

Hard:

Does Mozart’s music tell you what is going to happen next?  How does it do this?

Really Hard:

How does Mozart make a phrase sound clear?  What does this let him do with the ‘story’ of the music?  (A better word for ‘story’ is ’structure’).
