J S Bach

Johann Sebastian Bach's music has a sound of something flowing, always in motion.    He was expert at doing a sort of musical maths called counterpoint.  Counterpoint is a bit like putting musical shapes together.

Questions:

What sort of counterpoint (musical shapes)can you hear  in the examples?

Does his music change mood during the course of a piece, or stay the same?

Hard:

Many people thought that J S Bach’s was too focused on counterpoint and missed other parts musical story telling.  Do you agree?
