Heron 

We've been learning all about positional language this week in Reception, we used our Heron Chick to demonstrate all the different ways we could position the chick around the chair and ourselves.

Using Chick in this way made us think about just how much we love having a heron as our mascot - you might recognise the song we're singing! Unfortunately someone must have heard how much we love Heron, and this turned into a class emergency...

Fortunately we've been learning all about people who help us! We set our best detectives on the case...

 We looked all around the classroom and the outdoor area, making sure to use our positional language whilst we were looking for Heron!

Heron was nowhere to be found, so we called up someone we know on Joe's phone and spoke to a police officer who asked us to make a 'MISSING' poster for the bird, look at our wonderful descriptions!
