Teal
Welcome to Teal Class.
The children of Teal Class have been having an amazing school year so far!
They have learnt about magic, read lots of exciting books (such as Leon and the Place Between and the Magic Finger) and they have visited The Science Museum and the Tower of London. They have been historians, learning about the Great Fire of London in enormous detail. They even pretended to be Thomas Farriner the baker and wrote a letter to the Mayor of London insisting the fire was not his fault.
In maths they have explored 2D and 3D shapes, conducted surveys and have begun to develop an understanding of fractions. They are also busy learning and rehearsing their 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
We have enjoyed all our dress up days, especially World Book Day. We all dressed up as Roald Dahl characters. There were 7 Matilda's - including Charlotte!
As always we have been enjoying lots of role play, acting as characters from the stories we have been reading and creating freeze frames of different scenes in all our books.
We loved poetry slam and were so excited when our class won!
We can't wait for all that is ahead of us!
We had a lot of fun in our storytelling workshop. We pretended we were lava gushing out of a volcano! | At the Great Fire of London we pretended we were the houses. We stood close together and moved like fire. | We created bar graphs using practical resources! |
World Book Day was so much fun! |
