Stoneydown Park

Stoneydown is a popular community school in Walthamstow with a well-established commitment to the Arts. We have a friendly, inclusive ethos married with high academic standards and are committed to achieving the very best for each child. We have good quality indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Our Ofsted report, 2023, stated: Pupils are welcoming and friendly here. Leaders have created a strong sense of community, which helps pupils to be happy and confident. Parents and carers said that they appreciate and value being a part of this community. One parent said, expressing the views of many, ‘It is a pleasure to be a parent at this school. I feel fully involved in my child’s learning.’ Pupils treat each other with respect and look out for one another. They are safe in school and they speak to a trusted adult if they have any worries. Typically, pupils behave sensibly and focus in class, without distraction.

The Post

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with SEND experience.  Placement will be in our KS1 setting (in the first instance) but applicants must be able to work across all Key Stages and with SEND pupils as 1:1. The post will be for one year fixed term in the first instance. The person we appoint will be positive, enthusiastic, flexible, creative, use initiative, caring and hardworking and will join our excellent team of support staff who are very much valued at Stoneydown.  Changes to deployment, either by year group or as 1:1 SEND support follow the needs of the school. SEND experience is essential.
